What Happens During the Adjustment???
Often times we take for granted what is actually taking place during a chiropractic adjustment. After all it only takes a few minutes. So what does actually happen? Why does it make people feel so much better? Let’s take a look.
First, I use my hands to evaluate your spine by checking for muscle tension and balance as well as joint motion, spinal position and leg length equality.
Once these problem areas, or subluxations, are located the gentle chiropractic adjustment is delivered to restore proper motion and position to the vertebrae relieving pressure off the nerves.
Let’s look at an analogy.
If you were going to water your lawn with a sprinkler, but somehow a brick had fallen on
the water hose no water would ever get to the sprinkler. Therefore it would leave your yard dry, becoming brown and unhealthy. Once the brick is removed water is restored to the sprinkler and the lawn. The first step has been taken to regaining a lush, healthy lawn. However, we know it will take time for the lawn to go from brown back to green.
The adjustment is just the same; designed to deliver instant relief to the nerve and to restore health to the entire body. Often people feel better immediately after an adjustment, but it always takes time for you body to heal and repair.
Do you know someone who you think could benefit from a spinal checkup? You may be the only one with this information to share with them.
Thanks for your trust in us to take care of you and yours!
